British Swim School offers Swim Programs for All Ages & Experience Levels

We are the premier learn-to-swim provider for people of all ages, offering programs for children starting at age 3 months old. We use gentle teaching methods and a survival-first approach to help people of all experience levels become safer, stronger swimmers. British Swim School’s safe, fun, and effective instructional program has made it the preferred choice for parents and students for over 40 years.

Survival-First Approach

We teach survival skills before stroke techniques, so every swimmer is prepared to survive an accidental fall into the water. Water survival is a unique skill set, and knowing how to survive means less worry for you as a parent.

icon

Goal-Oriented Program

Students receive five clearly defined goals for each program level, and they advance individually and at their own pace. By monitoring these goals, our instructors know exactly what skill to work on with each swimmer.

icon

Confidence-Building Curriculum

Our curriculum-based program allows swimmers to follow the lesson structure they’ve become accustomed to as they advance. Constantly achieving new goals keeps students motivated and leads to faster progress.

icon

Fun & Gentle Teaching Methods

British Swim School instructors are highly trained in how to teach swimmers of all ages. They know how to make learning fun and comfortable, so you or your child will enjoy lessons and look forward to the ones to come.

icon

Small Lesson Sizes

Personalized learning shows faster results, which is why our lessons have a low student-to-instructor ratio, most levels have a maximum of 4:1. This allows the instructor to spend one-on-one time to meet the different needs of each student.

icon

Week-Long Lessons

Our summer program gives you the flexibility to choose what week(s) work best for your swimmer’s busy summer schedule.  We offer 9 weeks of consecutive swimming to help your student make faster progress.

Our Programs

Whether you want to introduce your infant to the water or advance your child’s swimming skills, British Swim School offers a variety of swimming lessons for all ages and skill levels.

Here is a list of goals for each level to help you determine the right class for your child. If your child is over 3 years old and not comfortable in the water nor able to fully submerge their head in the pool, please select Starfish.  If you have any trouble selecting the right class for your student, please email us @ goswimoakbrook@britishswimschool.com or call us at 630-833-8145
